The Alaska Nanook Volleyball team returns to the 49th state from southern California with a it's head up. After dropping 3 matches, the Nooks finally got one. In the final match of the SoCal Classic the Nanooks bucked the recent trend and defeated Cal State Dominguez Hills 3-0. The Nooks controlled all three of the sets en route to their first victory of the season. The Blue and Gold took the first two sets by identical 25-17 scores before dropping the Toro's 25-19 in the third and final set. Alaska now prepares for the Auto Service Company Nanook Classic, which begins Friday at the Patty Center.
